RTA stands for Ready to Assemble. This means that the cabinets are shipped flat packed and will be assembled by the customer or a contractor.
RTA cabinets are a great way to save money for several reasons; we don’t have to carry the labor cost of assembling the cabinets and can pass those savings onto our customers, they take up less space so storing and shipping them is cheaper, and since you can easily assemble them at home the total costs are significantly less.
A 10x10 kitchen is an industry standard term to give buyers an idea of what their cabinets will cost. It’s based on an L-shaped 10ft x 10ft kitchen with 12 cabinets in it.
The prices presented around the web for 10x10 kitchens can sometimes be misleading or confusing, so we suggest you read further about this topic in our 10x10 kitchen blog post.
This varies between cabinets, but we only offer all wood/all plywood constructions, no particle board anywhere. The types of wood we feature include Birch, Maple, Hickory, and HDF/MDF.
HDF stands for High Density Fiber. It's commonly used when a smooth painted appearance is needed in lieu of wood, which has grains, knots, wormholes, and other blemishes that show through a painted surface.
Also referred to as Hardboard, a high density fiberboard (HDF) is a type of engineered wood product. It's made from wood fiber extracted from chips and pulped wood waste.
MDF stands for Medium Density Fiber and is used for the same purposes as HDF wood; it’s commonly used when a smooth surface is preferred over a more woodlike one.
It’s an engineered wood product and consists of similar wood fiber extracts like those found in HDF wood. As the name implies, MDF wood is less dense compared to HDF wood, which is normally more durable.
None of our cabinets are made out of particle board, we only use durable plywood, natural wood, and MDF/HDF in our cabinets.
The insides of glass cabinets (which thus become visible when closed) are always finished for an eye-pleasing appearance. Most other cabinets have an impregnated natural wood inside finish.
If you have questions about specific cabinets you can always reach out to us via chat, phone, or email and we will be happy to help.
Yes! All our cabinet sides have been finished to match the rest of the exterior.
While most of our base cabinets come with a finished matching toe kick, there are a limited number of styles that do not. Additionally, if you want to cover the seams, we recommend buying a toe kick cover. To ensure the finished look you desire, we recommend checking with your designer, or our experienced sales representatives, before finalizing your purchase.
We guarantee the high quality of our cabinets and offer a 5 year limited warranty on any defects related to manufacturing and material. To find exactly what this warranty entails, please seeour terms and conditions.

You do not have to get a design at all. Many of our customers know exactly which cabinets they need and buy them straight out but a design helps to ensure your kitchen or room will look like expected (possibly even better!) In addition, we always recommend buying door samples to make sure that the cabinets will match the rest of your kitchen when they arrive.
